We are walking without the aid of crutches or a boot!!!!! The wheelchair is only a memory now. Still can't drive, so thank heavens for a great taxi service that gets him back and forth to all of his church meetings, appointments, work and errands. I'm sure his lip is pretty bitten up from keeping quiet about the driver but the price is right. We have sure saved a lot of money in gas. He started physical therapy on Wednesday and will be going for the next month, three days a week. He has to get the ankle and leg muscles loosened up to make the walking easier and more natural. We are thankful that we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now we just need to get our old house rented. Any takers???

On Saturday, September 6, Chip's family gathered at the Boone's in Red Bluff to celebrate Nella and Clifford Watts 60th wedding anniversary. It was so fun to share that time with his family. It never ceases to amaze me how the great grandchildren can become such fast friends and play together as if they are best friends. I have attached a picture of all the great grandchildren that were at the celebration. Is it just me or are mine the cutest???

How grateful we are to our children. They have been such a source of help and support to both of us during this recuperation process. On Saturday, August 30, the kids came over. Boys in the garage and girls in the house. The boys organized, hung shelves etc. to get things started there. The girls helped their brain dead mom hang pictures to make our new home feel like "home". We created a "Heritage Wall" in the piano room that I love. It is amazing how some of those familiar "things" can make you feel comfortable and finally at home. Thank you children. I don't think you will ever know how much we love and appreciate you.
